Watercolor Greeting Card Workshop - With Ray Horner Jr.
In this creative, beginner-friendly workshop, participants will design and
paint their own watercolor greeting cards—perfect for birthdays, thank-
you notes, celebrations, or simply sending a thoughtful message. Over
the course of two hours, students will learn core watercolor techniques
including washes, color blending, layering, and simple illustrative
elements such as florals, and abstract patterns.
Guided step-by-step, participants will create 2–4 unique greeting cards,
depending on pace and design complexity. The emphasis is on playful
experimentation and building confidence while learning practical skills for
watercolor illustration and handmade card design. No prior art
experience is needed—just curiosity and a desire to make something
beautiful and heartfelt.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with finished
greeting cards ready to gift, plus the knowledge to continue creating
more at home.
